For any writer out there that has ever made the commitment to write a novel, marketing might be one of the most difficult and misunderstood apsects of the publishing process. Far too many authors have published books only to watch their precious commodities die on the vine. 


Like all things in life, the big day finally comes and your book is officially published and ready to be bought by the masses. Now is when the real work begins. The goal on day one of publication of your book is to get as many eyes on your novel as possible. We have set strategies and practices in place from our years of publishing books. We aim to gain traction on day one by the following approaches: ​​

  • We stress to our authors on day one the need to price their novel aggressively at $0.99. This discounted window will last for seventy-two hours, thereby giving as many people as possible the chance to buy it at a discounted price. At this point, we download as many books as we can on our end and we encourage our authors to convince family, friends, co-workers, and anyone else to download the $0.99 ebook. After the seventy-two hour window is over, the book will go up to full price. 
  • We will ​​do a review of your book on our official YOUTUBE channel which has just shy of 20,000 subscribers.
  • A series of strategic tweets will be sent out promoting your book to our followers on our TWITTER page. We will also ask our close network of author friends each with their own social media followings to promote the book as well on social media.
  • The book will be posted and promoted on both www.PrimalPublishing.com and www.PrehistoricMagazine.com. Our Prehistoric Magazine site gets between 800-1,000 visitors per month. We will take full advantage of the traffic that our sites get.
  • Your book will also be listed as featured reading in Prehistoric Magazine which goes out to several thousand readers three times per year. 

While there are absolutely no guarantees whatsoever when it comes to marketing and the various approaches that one can take to market and promote a book, we will do all in our power to ensure that no Primal Publishing author is left to market their book entirely on their own.
